Tumescent Liposuction Techniques

With the growth of cosmetic surgery as a technique for changing appearance, are also new techniques that are being used for changing the way you look. Knowing what these are and how they can benefit you will help you to find the best methods for your treatment. One of the methods most commonly used for changing the way you look is a tumescent technique. This is used during liposuction, allowing you to get a better result.

Liposuction as a treatment has several steps to the procedure. A liposuction is known for taking out the extra fatty pads that are in your abdomen, thighs, buttocks, or other area. If you can’t remove these fatty pads through regular exercise, then liposuction is one preferred method to treat this. An incision will be made into the area where you wish to remove the fat. A tube will then be inserted into the incision and will begin to vacuum out the fatty pads.

When you use tumescent techniques with liposuction, you will be able to remove more of the fatty pads than otherwise thought. Before the liposuction is performed, the specific area of the body will be injected with an anesthetic liquid. This will allow the fatty pads and tissue to become swollen and firm. Surgeons will refer to this change in the fatty pads as tumesced. As the liposuction is performed, it will allow for an easier transfer of the fatty pads out of the body. Not only will this allow more fatty pads to be removed, but will also decrease the chance of losing more blood.

One of the important things to keep in mind is the risk that is involved with using tumescent techniques. This method is used for less blood lost and for getting more of the fatty pads out. There is a danger of some side affects. The liquid that goes into your system contains lidocaine, epinephrine, and intravenous fluid. While this is considered safe, it will be important to make sure that you won’t react negatively to the liquid. You may want to be tested for these substances before they are injected into your bloodstream

Other risks and side affects after the liposuction surgery will be similar to those of surgery that is more traditional. Bruising, swelling and tenderness in the area will most likely occur. With liposuction treatment, it will take a couple of weeks for the area to heal and begin to move normally. You can also expect to have to wear a brace to support the area where the extra fatty pads were found.

If you are considering liposuction treatment to reduce the fat in one area, then you will want to look into the possible choices for receiving a more efficient surgery. Through several techniques, liposuction has been able to treat patients more effectively and allow for a better result. Knowing what these procedures are and how they can benefit you will help in decide if tumescent liposuction techniques are right for you.
