While heartburn can be caused by an array of different factors, one of the most common reasons that a person experiences heartburn is because of the foods that they are eating.There are certain foods that cause heartburn and which should therefore be avoided as much as possible if a person has a problem with it.The foods that aggravate heartburn conditions may vary from one case to the next but there are some that always seem to be included.It is important that anyone with a heartburn problem takes the time to learn what their safe foods are so that they can exclude those that aggravate their condition from their diet.

Mexican food is definitely one of the leading types of food to be included on this list.Mexican food is quite spicy and loaded with pepper and this can trigger heartburn.Chili peppers and hot sauce and those sorts of things are definitely not what a person should be eating if they have a problem with heartburn.There are other types of food that cause heartburn as well.

Garlic and onion are usually not tolerable for people with heartburn.Garlic and onion can be very irritating on sensitive stomachs and intensify heartburn conditions.Remember, foods that cause heartburn do not always have to be removed from the diet entirely.Instead they should try it in moderation and start to slowly lessen the amount that they are eating each week to determine what amount of the food if any is tolerable.

People need to be aware that everyone is different.There are certain foods which may cause serious heartburn in one person and then be completely tolerable for the next.As long as people are aware of what their safe foods are, they should find at least a bit of relief from their heartburn.Avoiding the foods that cause them heartburn will get them one step closer to having full relief of their heartburn symptoms.

Another helpful tip for heartburn sufferers is to exercise on a regular basis.Few people exercise enough and this can really help with heartburn as can the cessation of drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.Not eating large meals is another tip that can help with heartburn.Heartburn can definitely be a difficult condition to live with but at least people know that there are ways to deal with their problem and start feeling a lot better.
